Hello There!
This is the place you can find any important practice updates, resources, supportive contacts and more!
Outside Resources:
Bibliotherapy is an important part of the process and a great way for patients to further their therapeutic work! Sometimes they are assigned to accompany therapy as a companion. These are a few common readings that we suggest! I recommend the following be added to your library to make the most out of your treatment:
Hold Me Tight-Dr. Sue Johnson (Couples)
7 Principles for Making Marriage Work-Dr. John Gottman (Couples)
5 Love Languages-Gary Chapman (Couples or Family)
Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life-Dr. Stephen Hayes (Individuals)
Self Esteem Workbook-Matthew McKay (Individuals)
Rising Strong-Brene Brown (Individuals)
Apps are also helpful to help emphasize work being done in treatment on a daily basis. I suggest the following:
Pacifica-Mood tracking app that helps users navigate pain and identify daily changes in progress and experience of self and environment.
Calm Harm-Helps users resist the urge to utilize unhealthy coping skills when in pain.
Calm-Meditation app to help encourage mindfulness and self regulation.
Headspace-Meditation app to help encourage mindfulness and self regulation.

Crisis and Support Hotlines
If you are experiencing an emergency it is imperative that you call 911 or 988. Another option is for you to find transportation to the nearest emergency room. Otherwise, the following resources are great when you need help navigating difficult thoughts and feelings at a time when other support is not available. Remember, it is enough to ask for help even when you believe it’s “not that bad.” If you are not feeling like any of your other coping strategies are helping but you are not in an emergent situation, these resources are there for you!
